Cannon Valley Ranch is family owned and operated by Bruce, LeeAnn and Taylor Waugh. We primarily raise registered Black Angus cattle for breeding stock. The cattle produced here on the ranch are either sold by private treaty, at our Annual Bull Sale, or on our Fall Online Female Sale. We also market our seedstock by selling our Angus females at select consignment sales. CVR Angus heifers, cows, & bulls have been sold to other herds from coast to coast through sales at the National Western Stock Show Foundation Female Sale, Midland Bull Test Station Sale, and the Minnesota State Sale. The core of our seed stock & commercial cattle business is in MN and the surrounding states of WI, IA, SD, & ND. Our Angus bulls are now all sold in our Annual Bull Sale the 1st Saturday of April.

We have a herd of 120 registered black Angus and Akaushi females. By utilizing an extensive Artificial Insemination & Embryo Transfer program we rapidly accelerate the progress of the genetic base of our cow herd. We strive to breed high quality cattle with balanced traits. Our goal is to combine functional, structurally correct attractive phenotype, while being reproductively sound, with high performance traits, calving ease, and a quiet disposition. We listen to the priorities as well as the concerns of our customers and we believe that these are the type of cattle that will meet the needs of the commercial cattlemen as well as our fellow purebred breeders.
